2020: New Year, New Picks

New year, new you, right? January is always a year to take a minute to do some reflection, celebration, and intention setting. I recently did a vision and goals day date with a couple of girlfriends, and a few things I took away were:

1. Overall health (not just losing weight)
2. Organization and Planning
3. Business organization

I told myself that I would be more mindful of how I am active. I used to just jump to a new fitness fad and then burn out, fall off the wagon, and start all over again. I figured if I started drinking one gallon of water a day, that would help a tad. The 32 oz. Hydroflask is MY FAVE. If you drink 4 of these bad boys, you’ll be at one gallon! I love putting iced tea in mine for one of my four because sometimes water doesn’t cut it for me. I really like the wellness journal because it keeps all of my workouts, measurements, and meals planned out which keeps me from “grabbing something quick” while I’m on the go. I get up about 15 minutes earlier, make a smoothie, and I’m usually ok until I get back home for lunch.

Which leads me to organization.

For those of you who follow me, and for those of you who are new to the blog, I am OBSESSED with planners. I used to have an A4 6-ring binder for my planner, but I found that it was too much work to make it pretty every week. I purchased a Passion Planner and am in love. I usually color code everything by personal, coaching, work, and blogging with these awesome Pilot erasable highlighters. It gives me a great visual of what I am doing for the week, and how much time I need to invest to make sure I am not running by the seat of my pants.

For small business owners, I think you can all agree that book keeping is a little tough (unless you really like doing that sort of stuff, I commend you!). I LOVE my acrylic file organizer and hanging marble folders because it keeps my paperwork cohesive with my office, and I actually want to look at what’s inside. Also, note taking and to-do lists look tons better with my marble sticky notes. Love.
