Here are 5 skincare products I cannot live without this month, and I thought I’d share the love with you! These all add to a low-maintenance regimen with high quality care. Enjoy!
Bliss makeup melt dry/wet gentle jelly cleanser
Can I just say that I cannot believe how wonderful this product is! I am not one to really take care of my skin (but I gotta start), and this one takes the cake. This 2-in-1 makeup remover and cleanser is a great product if you want to minimize the time prepping in front of the mirror or if you’re just beginning a skincare routine to take better care of yourself.
Taking off makeup? Put half of a pump onto a cotton pad and gently wipe your makeup off. Rinse with warm water. Voila! Just washing your face? Splash your face with warm water, gently massage half of a pump of this jelly onto your face, and rinse. You’re cleansed! I have combination skin with a super oily T section, so this is very beneficial for me when I use it on my forehead and nose as well as when I remove makeup. I find that this tends to make the skin on my cheeks superdry, so I have to make sure I hydrate and moisturize to ensure my skin doesn’t get irritated.
Thayer’s Natural Remedies Witch Hazel Facial Toner
Flip the lid open on this product and tell me that it doesn’t smell amazing. The romantic rose petal scent is so refreshing, especially compared to other skincare lines’ cucumber and melon scent. I love this toner because it is also an easy step. I use this with a cotton pad to put hydration into my skin that may have been removed from cleansing in the previous step. What I absolutely love about this so far is that my skin hasn’t broken out as it tends to do if I increase the amount of product I put on my face. Yay!
Bliss drench & quench cream-to-water hydrator
Yes, yes, yes! This stuff feels so light and is so amazing to put on, you’ll enjoy all 30 seconds it takes to do this step. It doesn’t take much product to get the moisture you need; I seriously use a dime sized amount and it covers everything. This stuff smells great and leaves your skin feeling so smooth and moisturized for hours without weighing it down. Again, no breakouts, so that’s a plus. My skin gets really oily throughout the day, so I am always a bit skeptical to try new moisturizer at first. I put some on and went about my day sans makeup, and there was no added oil midday and come evening. Everything was pretty balanced. This is a great moisturizer if you’re looking for something quick.
Native Deodorant in Coconut and Vanilla
I actually heard about this D.O. from a friend at work. Paraben and Aluminum free, this product does its job of keeping me smelling fresh and keeping me dry all day. I LOVE the scent- it reminds me of summertime. Less is more: a couple of swipes under your arms after you’ve put your top on will do the trick. Anything more and it will get on your clothes and will leave unwanted marks if you’re not careful.
Renewal Exfoliating Ayate Washcloth
I was really inspired by @healyourliving as she is has an amazing blog about leading a minimalist, sustainable lifestyle. Check her out [here]. Always mindful of reducing my carbon footprint, I have been waiting around for an exfoliator that was biodegradable, all natural, and NOT plastic. I finally saw what I wanted at the store and had to get it. I love it because it’s all of the above and machine washable, too. Just soak in warm water before your first use. It’s the size of a washcloth, and the fibers end up tightening when you soak it. I use bar soap, and it is the perfect combination for me! It suds up amazingly and it’s the perfect amount of exfoliation that leaves my skin super smooth and clean.
