Dalgona Coffee

Envision early sunlight peeping through the horizon to wave good morning. Birds are just waking up to the sunrise, too. The sun reaches through the window, touching the curtains, the floor, the couch, the walls. Sounds kinda nice, right?

Frothy, yummy foam

What a better way to top off the morning with a spruced up instant coffee? I mean, there are only 4 ingredients, and it takes about 5 minutes to make.

I played around with different packets that I had laying around our coffee bar, and I have to say that it is actually pretty tasty. If you want something that is super sweet to taste, I suggest using Super Power Instant Coffee. Otherwise, you can add more sugar or milk to your cup to taste.

What you’ll need:

Sugar In the Raw

Super Power Instant Coffee

Medium-sized bowl- I used mine from this set here

Glass Electric Kettle

Whisk

Instructions

Add 1 packet of instant coffee, 1 TBSP of sugar. Add 1 TBSP of boiling water to the bowl. To be honest, I just eyeballed it

WHISK. It does not take more than 30 seconds, to get a beautiful foamy mixture

Pour foam over milk of choice. I really enjoy Oat milk

Takeaways

This does not require a lot of water, let alone elbow grease. My coffee  concoction was done in less than 5 minutes.

Size matters: using a larger bowl helps. I think you can get more air into the mixture which gives it that amazing foamy texture.

How did your dalgona coffee go?
